The lava lodge is ideal for private overnight getaways from Reykjavík, groups of max 12 guests. At the lodge you can enjoy the northern lights next to the interior regions of Iceland. From our patio you can view the three glaciers: "Eiríksjökull", "Langjökull" and "Ok"
There are 6 guest rooms all with private lavatory facilities and double made up beads. The traditional building style of 18th century Icelandic farmhouses, with high ascending roofs, inspires the lodge architectural style. Wooden interiors creating a super cozy feeling in the newly built small private rooms.

We are dedicated to offer fresh, local produce of the highest quality, served in a traditional Icelandic home-cooking style. We can meet all dietary needs you just need to communicate them to us in advance.
We have an outdoor hot tub you can enjoy good shower facilities, beautiful hiking trails and a magnificent lava field all around covered with thick moss and beautiful Icelandic birch.
There's a cozy fireplace outside the lodge surrounded by comfy chairs for when you just need to sit and smile :) Two other outside seating areas are available, one next to the outdoor hot tub and another on the patio facing north, perfect for the evening sun in the summer and northern lights in the winter.
The dining room seats about 14 people and there's an old school vinyl record player in the cozy room and over 600 records to choose from. A festive dinner party in Iceland often includes some guitar-playing and sing-alongs, so if you are up for it we have a guitar at hand and know a few songs.
